Partial dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. The partials are generally supported by natural teeth adjacent to the teeth requiring replacement. The supporting teeth, gingiva and bone must be maintained in the best condition possible to assure a more successful experience. This may require more frequent professional cleanings to keep the teeth as healthy as possible.Complete Dentures are removable and constructed for individuals who have lost all their teeth. There are approximately 35 million people in the United States who have no teeth and 90% of those individuals wear complete dentures. In our practice we make every effort to maintain your natural teeth but when necessary we provide unmatched care for our patients. We have been specifically trained to provide optimum fit, comfort and esthetics. We not only work with you in the treatment room, but we are also very involved in our in-office laboratory. It is extremely important for this group of individuals maintain the aftercare that is required. We like to see our denture patients every six months just as if they still had natural teeth, to examine the mouth and supporting structure. In some instances dental implants can also be used to help support and provide additional points of attachment for both partial and complete dentures to help ensure your success.
